That's what happens. Many people claim to have adverse reactions to even a simple smell of a cough syrup they have abused in the past. Makes sense to me.
After blacking out and puking my guts up, I couldn't even be in the same room with a bottle of jack. Shit was foul. I can drink it now but it will never be the same. Same concept applies.
