But is it right to make that assumption? I can't see how it would be.
Probably not, the assumption is quite a big one, and with so many possible variables and outcomes that could affect the druggist, it's probably not fair or right to make such a huge assumption. We don't know enough of the situation to be able to base that assumption, nevertheless when you're in the situation of your dying wife you don't usually think of the effects on others. You're more worried about your wife, and that's the priority for you, so you put her before others. Should that involve making a rash assumption to be able to get the medicine your wife needs, then it will be done. It may not be morally correct to make such an assumption, and you could end up hurting the druggist, but that's the risk you take, and you know that risk, when you steal the drug to save your wife. You have to hope that you haven't caused any problems (other than the inherent drug loss) to the druggist. Post edited at 7:50 am on Nov. 21, 2008 by marshmellowman

Well I personally would steal the medicine for my loved one even if it was certain to me his loved one would die, I was just playing devils advocate
