Now perhaps the "economic crisis" might teach the labour party that trickle down economics doesn't work - but it doesn't look that way. Sure they're experimenting with Keynesism again, but they're propping up the top of the pyramid not the bottom.

Not to mention he was fully on board with the "war on turr".

1. He's totally on board with the whole "new" labour thing.
2. He's too "slick"
3. He wants to give away too much power to Brussels
4. Along with new labour in general he has been involved in promoting several "consultations" which suddenly are revoked when they didn't go the way desired
5. Anyone who worked for the Department for Education and Skills during the Labour tenure is automatically suspect in my eyes. New Labour's education policy has been horrible. (Thatcher too - but what is blairism but a more bloated thatcherism).

Trickle down economics is more a conservative policy that new labour have simply had to deal with because now there is no other way to do so. Cameron will be one of the biggest advocates of this system since thatcher. In fact I reckon Camerons administration would be identical to Thatchers. In Blairs biography it is clear that Blair did not want to associate himslef with thatcher in the slightest, he claimed that he had to continue with some seeminlgy thatcherite practices but only because they had such a lasting legacy and h had to sort out the mess so to speak.

Also New Labour is the future of Labour people need to get used to it instead of complaining of the days of bloody socialism where labour were entangled by Unions who pretty much ran them. It didn't work as a party, hence why we were under conservative rule for years, and hence why Thatcher fucked the country up.

Also a journal in parliamentary affairs that Miliband has written shows that in fact he does not want to give more power to brussells, he feels that in fact would be one of the worst ideas in this economic climate, he beleives Europe should work together but that in fact UK should not deliniate any power to a centre European government.

To be honest though politics are becoming global, if england went back to an old labour party or conservative and just sat on our little island without becoming global we would crumble and fall. So yes I think Miliband is the best person to run a country in globalising times, giving his experience as foreign sec,

I'm totally against encroaching globalisation. We should resist it not surrender to it. There are no inevitabilities, the world is made by men.
And I am also strongly opposed to new labour's unbelievable lack of principles and sheer utilitarianism.

That said I also hate Cameron, he is a guy who told his party to read a book about how lying is a virtue over the summer.
